For Marine Menagerie, the group's third release, Ain Soph steered a few degrees closer to new age waters, sweetening their brand of progressive jazz-rock with a large dose of dreamy, insubstantial developments. The album still has something to offer, if you can stomach the occasional trite solo and generic keyboard patches

Ain Soph's third album consists mostly of re-recorded versions of tunes from the band's early days - written and developed during the late 70s -, plus an original version of 'Variations on a Theme by Brian Smith', whose first official version had appeared in the "Story of Mysterious Forest" album. This original version is somewhat rougher, with its varied musical motifs less developed, and a harder edge on the guitar parts

Menagerie is the sixth studio album by American R&B singer Bill Withers, released in 1977 on the Columbia label. Menagerie is overall more uptempo and less introspective in feel than Withers' previous albums. None of the songs tackle intensely personal emotions of the kind which lent a dark edge to earlier Withers tracks such as "Use Me", "Better Off Dead" or "Who Is He (And What Is He to You)".
