When the single "Getting Away With It" hit the airwaves in late 89/early 90, I fell instantly in love. Labeled here as an EP (after all, it took almost a year after this single was released for me to find Electronic's first full album), this first single from Electronic's self-titled debut was a relative radio and dance floor hit here in the States

You could say it marked an end of an era - a bittersweet end of the heyday of Madchester. The double-disc Getting Away with It: Live captures James' last evening together, the final show on their farewell tour hosted in their working-class hometown of Manchester, England, and a remarkable look back at some of the band's shining moments from their 20-year career. Getting Away with It: Live is celebratory throughout the entire album.

Disappointed" was the fourth single by the English band Electronic. Like their first single "Getting Away with It" it featured Neil Tennant of Pet Shop Boys as well as founding members Johnny Marr and Bernard Sumner. It was released in June 1992 on Parlophone soon after the demise of Factory Records. The single was even assigned the Factory catalogue number FAC 348, and the logo of the label remained on the artwork. In July 1992 the song was featured in the soundtrack of the movie cool world.
