Daisy Chainsaw were an English alternative rock band, active between 1989 and 1994. They originally featured KatieJane Garside as lead vocalist and lyricist on the band's early EPs and debut album, Eleventeen (1992). After her departure in 1993, Belinda Leith (previously Queen B, London Records 1990) joined as lead vocalist for the final album released in 1994. The band's live performances were noted for their wild histrionics.

Eleventeen was the only full album recorded by UK band Daisy Chainsaw featuring Katie Jane Garside as lead vocalist. It peaked the UK Albums Chart at Three songs from the album were released as singles. I Feel Insane" – 2:41. You Be My Friend" – 2:52.

It is hard to believe that during the women's punk revolution of the early '90s, the talented Daisy Chainsaw barely made a blip on the music radar. Taking their cue from proto-punks like the Stooges and modern noise-bringers like Pussy Galore, Daisy Chainsaw had a brutal guitar assault that was grounded by awesome, twisted vocals. From the pounding "I Feel Insane" to the otherworld eeriness of "Use Me Use You," they prove that they are adept to many different styles while still retaining their unique sound.

Sound - 9 Daisy Chainsaw were perhaps one of the wierdest bands to come out of the UK indie scene in the early '90s, and this album is a forgotten classic. Despite being shunned by critics for being too 'bizzare', Daisy Chainsaw cultivated a strong, tightly-knitted cult fanbase. The Album's sound is very raw, punky and unhinged, driven by Katie-Jane Garside's deranged vocal delivery (often slipping into complete gibberish) and Crispin Gray's off-the-wall fuzz guitar. Minor setbacks aside, 'Eleventeen' is a forgotten classic and a must-have for every punk and indie CD collection.
