Ultra-rare Pajamas This is an early mix of "Just A Breath Away" from the album Seven Fathoms Down and Falling. Quite different from the version we released.

Green Pajamas is the thirteenth song on the Green Pajamas' debut album, Summer of Lust. Bassist/singer Joe Ross on this song: Jeff had written Green Pajamas a year or so before and had made a solo recording of it. We both liked its Baby You’re a Rich Man feel and decided to re-record it for the album once the name of the band was settled. We wanted the song to feature a big ending like All You Need Is Love or Hey Jude, so we invited the gang of girls over to clap their hands and sing along on the choruses

Through Glass Coloured Roses is a compilation album by The Green Pajamas. It was released by Hidden Agenda records part of the independent label Parasol Records in 2003. Since 1984, the Green Pajamas have been at the forefront of the Seattle post-paisley underground scene of the early 80’s. Starting as a mostly bedroom type cassette only project, the Pajamas have flourished since Material Issue had a minor hit with their song "Kim The Waitress". Rediscovered by Woronzow records in the UK at the end of the 90’s, the Green Pajamas issued through them Seven Fathoms Down and Falling, which became the first CD Rubric Records licensed in January of 2000. Rubric is now doing the same for their next full length entitled This Is Where We Disappear, their 8th. Sample this album Artist (Sample).

Green Monkey Records’ excavation of the Green Pajamas’ back catalogue has been an impressive undertaking which I’m sad to see the end of, but they go out with a bang here! The original Happy Halloween s eight tracks were recorded and released in October 1984, recorded directly onto cassette, only released on cassette, and distributed amongst friends, so this is its first public release, bolstered by 14 bonus tracks from around the same time, many of which are better than the original Happy Halloween tracks. John Book, This is Book’s Music: Halloween 2014 is behind us now but this album by the Green Pajamas was released before October 31st and in truth, it’s music that is non-seasonal, which is good. The music on Happy Halloween! (Green Monkey) was recorded in 1984 but remained unreleased until thirty years later.
