BAT OUT OF HELL isn’t just an album, it’s a performance piece, and Meat Loaf is its star. I had this album years ago when I saw meat loaf in concert. I just bought it again. I am old now but I love it even more.

Avoid this like you would a plague. When I stop and think about it, Meat Loaf‘s music and meatloaf (the meat) are strikingly similar. They both have questionable content, are generally bad and I can only tolerate either of them in extremely small doses.
Album · 1993 · 11 Songs. The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Soundtrack from the Motion Picture). Piece of the Action: The Best of Meat Loaf. Hang Cool Teddy Bear.
Bat Out of Hell to me was ultimately very heroic though it was funny. In a 1993 promotional interview for the album, Steinman reasserts the continuation of the Bat world. I didn't call it Bat Out of Hell II just to identify with the first record
