Such an album is Forefather’s Steadfast. Now, I’m not one for gushing in superlative terms, so I’ll try to keep this as level-headed as possible. Forefather have been plagued by technical limitations on their past albums, and continue to be so to a certain extent. But that does not stop them here from putting everything on the line and summoning an incredibly ambitious Viking, folk storm. I’ll try not to get into a song-by-song breakdown of the album, but there are a number of high points which are very much worth highlighting here.
