Hoodoo Gurus - Kinky flac album

1991's Kinky found the Hoodoo Gurus ready to crank up their amps and rock hard, and low be it to me to find fault in anyone's desire to kick out the jams, especially one of the most enjoyable rock & roll outfits of their times. There are more than a few pearly moments on Kinky, but it was a genuine letdown for the Hoodoo Gurus after the no-frills triumph of the album's immediate predecessor, Magnum Cum Louder.

Australian rock group Hoodoo Gurus have released nine studio albums, thirty-six singles, two extended plays, six compilation albums and four video albums. Formed in January 1981, the band was originally known as Le Hoodoo Gurus for the release of their first single, "Leilani", in October 1982. As Hoodoo Gurus, the band signed with Big Time Records and premiered their debut album, Stoneage Romeos, in March 1984

The album reached No. 172 on the American Billboard charts in 1991, with the single "Miss Freelove '69" (February 1991) reaching No. 19 on the ARIA Singles Chart, No. 3 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart in 1991. Other singles were "1000 Miles Away" (June 1991, No. 37), "A Place in the Sun" (August 1991) and "Castles in the Air" (December 1991). EMI re-released the album on 7 February 2005 with four additional tracks, a fold out poster and liner notes by Dave Gray (Rocket Science).

Just good rock'n'roll - fun, catchy lyrics a definite step above your average american rock band Kinky by the The Hoodoo Gurus and no, honestly, never heard of them. Track Four - Somethings Coming - if I walked in a room and heard this I would think this it was the Rolling Stones. I listened to the entire Cd twice.
