Cause of Death is the second album by American death metal band Obituary. It was released on September 19, 1990. Cause of Death is considered a classic album in the history of death metal. The artwork was done by artist Michael Whelan. It is their first release with longtime member Frank Watkins on bass, and also their first and only album with guitarist James Murphy, previously of the group Death.

Recorded in eleven different cities during the band's highly successful 2015 "Inked In Blood" world tour, the live tracks capture the incredible performances of a band that has stood atop the death metal pantheon for almost 30 years

The left to die EP was fuckingawesome and the Ten Thousand Ways To Die single plus a shitload of live tracks but pretty fucking awesome too before they put out the 10th album. Death and obituary and you can't forget corner and Celtic Frost and deicide some of the best shit out there and Slayer they're going out this year so I hope that within a couple of three or four years in a bituary doesn't throw in the towel and call it quits I don't.

Left to Die Single, Enhanced. I like this release and the new songs on it, but probably only because I'm a bit of a Die Hard Obituary fan. The problem with it (and some other newer releases) is, it doesn't offer much in the way of new material and unfortuanately, even though I like Obituary, their style doesn't seem to have advanced much since some of their older releases such as "World Demise" in fact after their hiatus, the "Frozen in Time" Album seemed quite appropriately named
