Wild Life is the debut album by Wings and the third studio album by Paul McCartney following the breakup of the Beatles. The album was recorded during July–August 1971 at Abbey Road Studios by McCartney and his wife Linda along with session drummer Denny Seiwell, whom they had worked with on the previous album, Ram, and Denny Laine, formerly of the Moody Blues. It was released by Apple Records on 7 December, in both the UK and US, to lukewarm critical and commercial reaction.

Wings debut album and probably the least we'll known. The title tune Wild Life is dedicated to the McCartney's fight against animal cruelty, but ist is a good tune. This album is purposely left unpolished compared to the following Wings albums that came afterwards, but that also contributes to its charm.

Wild Life, which arrived as their debut on Dec. 7, 1971, remains their lowest-charting album, and the only one that's failed to earn gold-selling status or better in McCartney's native . Expectation had something to do with it, as McCartney assembled his first post-Beatles band. The irony of the first Wings album is that it seems more domesticated than Ram, feeling more like a Paul 'n' Linda effort than that record.
