Obey is the third album by Brainbombs. It was initially released in 1996 through the Swedish record label Releasing Eskimo, then released on vinyl format in the US in 1997. Many reissues released through Armageddon records have surfaced since, on both CD and vinyl formats. The album's cover shows a photograph of Ed Gein. The first 35 seconds of the album are a demo recorded from a Kawai keyboard.

Brainbombs are a noise rock group from Hudiksvall, Sweden formed around 1986. The band consists of Dan Råberg, Peter Råberg, Jonas Tiljander, Drajan Bryngelsson and Lanchy Orre. Drajan and Lanchy also play in the punk band Totalitär. Brainbombs have been infamous not only for their abrasive music but their extremely explicit lyrics, depicting rape, murder and child molestation among other things.

Brainbombs are an extremely harsh, gritty and vulgar noise rock group. For those that aren't familiar with noise rock, it began as a subgenre of punk rock characterized by a harsh and atonal sound, frequently with untuned or poorly tuned guitars and little attention given to production and songcraft. Anyhow, onto the music. Obey is Brainbombs' third album, and they were never much for progressing or changing their style. Their production is low, gritty, harsh and filthy, but for those that listen to this type of music it's not overbearing or particularly hard on the ears (partly because of the warmth of analog recording).
