Rare Earth (American funk rock group). Profile: In 1961 a group of high school buddies formed a band and called it "The Sunliners". After playing for about seven years the group decided to change the name of the band. Hence forth comes "Rare Earth". Motown Record Corporation approached Rare Earth in the latter part of 1968 to sign a recording contract. At first the group was reluctant to sign because of knowing of other white groups and artists before them that had not had any success because Motown was geared for promotion and distrubution in the black market only.
Alternate label design and layout variation. LP housed in company "Rare Earth" sleeve with current band images. Track A1: Progressive Music Pub. C. Inc. Tracks A2 to B2, B4: Jobete Music C. BMI Track B3: Stein & Van Stock, Inc. ASCAP.
Un mundo is halfway between the proposals of Surrealism and the poetics of Magic Realism, a movement that had been spread through the essay of the same name by Franz Roh in 1925. The female characters in the scene surround a globe that has changed from its original form into a cube.
Rare Earth is an American rock band affiliated with Motown's Rare Earth record label (named after the band), which prospered from 1970–1972. Although not the first white band signed to Motown, Rare Earth was the first big hit-making act signed by Motown that consisted only of white members. None of the previously signed all-white acts - The Rustix, The Dalton Boys, or The Underdogs - had any hits.
Solo un Mundo - sin fronteras que nos dividan Solo un Mundo Solo un Mundo - menos guerras y más amor Solo un Mundo. Just one World that spins around the sun Just one World that we can call our home There are too many wars in our time Right now united we must stand. We must take responsibility For all our acts of instability It's time to stop this non-sense right now All together we must join our hands. Libertad, paz y amor, sin la guerra vivir Imagina un futuro que podamos compartir Libertad, paz y amor, sin fronteras vivir Réunis, nous avons le pouvoir de choisir
