Two years before his fateful first studio collaboration with Brian Eno (who produced this album), Budd was creating hypnotic music in an acoustic mode. All of the works herein-including "Two Rooms," whose latter half is an adaptation of John Coltrane's "After the Rain"-sustain a similarly dreamy vibe. Harold Budd's Pavilion of Dreams is only four songs, but over 46 minutes of music. It is great for setting a background mood with a subdued operatic feel. One person found this helpful.

The Pavilion of Dreams is the second album from composer Harold Budd. Bismillahi 'Rrahman 'Rrahim" – 18:23. Two Songs: 1. Let Us Go into the House of the Lord, 2. Butterfly Sunday" – 6:19. Madrigals of the Rose Angel: 1. Rossetti Noise, 2. The Crystal Garden and a Coda" – 14:16. Marion Brown – alto saxophone. Harold Budd – piano, voice. Maggie Thomas – harp. Richard Bernas – celeste. Gavin Bryars – glockenspiel, voice. Jo Julian – marimba, vibraphone, voice.

The Pavilion of Dreams is a music studio album recording by HAROLD BUDD (Progressive ve Rock) released in 1978 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Every song here is a jewel, spanning a spectrum from jazz to classical with New Age and experimental overtones throughout. I am especially drawn in by the harp, saxophone (which I usually dislike) and, of course, the choral and solo female voices.

Listen to music from Harold Budd/Brian Eno like First Light, A Stream With Bright Fish & more. The collaborations between Brian Eno and Harold Budd began upon completing Budd's first noticed ambient record entitled The Pavilion of Dreams.

The Pavilion of Dreams. The Pavilion of Dreams. Mixing ethereal melodies communicated by voice or saxophone with glissando accompaniment, Harold Budd creates a series of siren songs on The Pavilion of Dreams that shimmer like light reflected on the water's surface

And, certainly many more. For me, it's the endeavor to create beauty via electronics, using the studio as an instrument, and a passion to explore ethereal compositions eschewing the popular 'Space Music' clogging my ears pores.
