Talk about Various - Lounge-A-Palooza

Bradeya
A mostly forgettable relic of the indie rock lounge revival of the 90s, but worth owning for the altogether heavenly and exalted cover of Black Hole Sun by Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme. Glen Campell's remake of Wichita Lineman is affecting in an appropriately wistful way. PJ Harvey's cover of Zaz Turned Blue will make you want to go back and listen to the original by Mel Torme and Was (Not Was). But Steve & Eydie masterfully hit the mark with their glorious arrangement of the Soundgarden classic, investing the words with a depth of mystery barely hinted at in the original.
