Live at Woodstock is a posthumous live album by Jimi Hendrix released on July 6, 1999. The album documents most of Hendrix's performance with his band Gypsy Sun and Rainbows at Woodstock Festival on August 18, 1969. Many of the tracks on this album were released in 1994 on Woodstock. As with the earlier release, rhythm guitarist Larry Lee's medley of "Gypsy Woman" with "Aware of Love" (both songs originally by The Impressions) and his "Mastermind" are not included.

This outstanding live album from Orleans was recorded at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, NY, on October 6 and 7, 1990. Though Orleans Live, Vol. 1 contains their three big hits and Jon Hall's popular "Power" song, this collection contains close to an hour of wonderfully recorded and performed material that works without the radio recognition which made Orleans famous. The only song here that reached millions of homes is "Half Moon," which Janis Joplin covered exquisitely on Pearl. The audience bounces along with this '50s ditty, and like the rest of this album, it shows how clever and professional the unit is, nuances that their three Top 40 hits didn't convey come across here. Compared to What" is a very hip walk down memory lane, a cool version of the theme The Righteous Brothers touched on with "Rock & Roll Heaven

Explore Woodstock 1969. In August 1969, over half a million people came to upstate New York for the 3 days of Peace & Music. The Woodstock Music & Arts Fair. Woodstock 1969 was a reaction by the youth of its time and the conditions we faced, says Woodstock co-founder Michael Lang. We proved that it is possible to live together in harmony and with compassio. ith only our best selves represented. Woodstock gave people around the world hope, which is why I think it remains relevant today. Explore the history of Woodstock. And come make history with us. Again.

The Woodstock lineup is one of the most legendary in history. The hottest and most diverse collection of bands of 1969 gathered here and created a playlist that would forever shape music to come. The American music scene of the era was defined by this music festival, and what is now known as world music stemmed from the diversity of performers that played at Woodstock.
