Live 1966: The "Royal Albert Hall" Concert is a two-disc live album by Bob Dylan, released in 1998. It was recorded at the Manchester Free Trade Hall during Dylan's world tour in 1966, hence the quotation marks around the false attribution to the Royal Albert Hall. Extensively bootlegged for decades, it is an important document in the development of popular music during the 1960s.

fazendo referência a Live 1966 (The "Royal Albert Hall" Concert), 2xCD, Album, COL 491485 2, 491485 2. This is of more interest as a document with some historical significance to Dylan fans, than as a stand alone piece of music. The acoustic set is OK, and live, acoustic renditions of these songs are rare, but Dylan's very nasally, he sounds disinterested and is much better on earlier acoustic sets. Same problem here, only off centre on side two. You could do what i did, very carefully enlarge the hole in the centre of the record with a small sharp paring knife Make sure you enlarge the hole only in the opposite direction to the off center side.

But no more: Live 1966: The "Royal Albert Hall" Concert has surfaced on two discs mixed and mastered from three-track source tapes that put the myriad pirated recordings to shame. More important, Live 1966 documents a momentous artistic showdown between a willful, inflamed, and utterly fearless performer and his headstrong core following. The Dylan of the mid '60s had made the leap from socially conscious voice of his generation to surrealistic electric poet, a transformation that was met with contempt by a vocal element of his audience. The only ones I don't have is Self Portrait, (which I won't get because Bob did this album just to get rid of his fans & he hardly wrote any songs in it) and Knocked Out Loaded and Under the Red Sky (maybe a little later I'll get these last two) and maybe a couple of live ones I still. Now I want to look up and listen and honor Bruce Hornsby a little.

The title of The Real Royal Albert Hall 1966 Concert is a nod to the fact that the famous bootleg known as The "Royal Albert Hall" Concert was actually recorded at the Manchester Free Trade Hall on May 17, 1966

Bob Dylan’s decision to go electric didn’t sit well with a lot of fans, who felt that he had sold out folk music for a rock 'n’ roll payday. It all came to a head on May, 17, 1966, during one of the last stops on his world tour. But it was eventually figured out that the concert had taken place a week and a half earlier at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester. After a controversial three-song performance with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and Al at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, Dylan worked out a compromise to placate his longtime fans.

Bob Dylan - Bootleg Series, Vol. 6 ( Live 1964 - Concert at Philharmonic Hall/Live Recording, 2010). Bob Dylan needs to remain in peoples mind for many years, due to his influence in the new beginning ear of 1960's. Verified purchase: No.

Bootlegs of Dylan’s shows have been passed between cognoscenti for generations, but this new two-CD set in Columbia’s Bootleg Series marks the first commercial release. Bootlegs of these shows have invariably been called the Royal Albert Hall concert, although a variety of shows were recorded and made their way through the pirate-LP underground. This set carries on the tradition, yet the name is printed conspicuously in quotations as the show presented here was actually recorded on May 17 at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester, England. But fear not: this is the famous show
