Who You Are is the debut studio album by English singer-songwriter Jessie J. It was released on 28 February 2011 by Lava Records, Island Records and Universal Republic Records. In such a high demand and interest from fans, the release was advanced by a month from 28 March, as previously planned. Recording sessions took place between 2005 and 2011, with several other record producers contributing on the album such as Dr. Luke, Toby Gad and K-Gee, among others.

English singer Jessie J has released five studio albums, one extended play (which was also her first live album), nineteen singles (including four as a featured artist), twenty-one music videos, and five promotional singles. Jessie J released her debut single, "Do It like a Dude", in the United Kingdom in November 2010, where it peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart. It also reached number eight in New Zealand. Jessie J – born Jessica Cornish in Redbridge – rushes up and down her scales on this anticipated debut album; but there’s more than one occasion where her fluctuating pitch is a pain in the ear. The frustration doesn’t end there. A pretty acoustic ballad, Big White Room – recorded live, applause included – is ruined by unnecessary gymnastics. The songs of Who You Are are expectedly split between slower, slushier affairs and punchy anthems for bolshy teens, those coming to this collection off the back of Do It Like a Dude. If modern pop-lore is to be believed, said track was originally written with Rihanna in mind (Cornish has a background in co-writing material for other artists).
