This is a list of artists who have achieved one number-one hit on the UK Singles Chart and no other entry whatsoever on the chart.

I’ve always been fascinated by true one-hit wonders: the artists who had a song go to No. 1 on the Billboard pop charts, then never again reached the Top 40.

The Dick Bartley "One Hit Wonders" series has a lot more than one thing going for it. These discs feature a wide variety of music that placed on the Top 100 Charts during the 1960s.

These one-hit wonders pale into insignificance next to the spectacular failures of the 1970s and 1980s. The entire album is a collection of one-hit wonders.

Some bands only score one hit, but some of these songs are so good that those artists only needed one hit to secure their permanent place on our playlists. So, sorry, Toni Basil. The one-hit wonders that we love best.

The criteria of Top One-Hit Wonders is that an artist reaches the Billboard Top 40 one time in their career. Read: What’s a one-hit wonder? But let’s not get too technical here.

A one-hit wonder is any entity that achieves mainstream popularity, often for only one piece of work, and becomes known among the general public solely for that momentary success.
