Ashford & Simpson were an American husband-and-wife on team and recording duo of Nickolas Ashford (May 4, 1941 – August 22, 2011) and Valerie Simpson (born August 26, 1946). Ashford was born in Fairfield, South Carolina, and Simpson in the Bronx, New York City. Afterwards, his family relocated to Ypsilanti, Michigan, where he became a member of Christ Temple Baptist Church.

The rest is devoted to the duo's Warner recordings of the '70s. Any "Best Of' for Ashford and Simpson that doesn't have It Seems To Hang On and Is It Still Good To Ya is missing essential A&S work. One person found this helpful. Ashford & Simpson is perhaps one of the best kept secrets in the R & B-Soul category. Too bad there aren't enough great Hits on the . to give it a worth-well reason to promote it better. Don't get me wrong, I love Soul, R&B, but there's only one song on the album I remember. And that's 'Solid', great song. I think the problem with notoriety is the lack of playing time by all non-soul Radio Stations.
