All lyrics from Isn't Anything album, popular My Bloody Valentine songs with tracklist and information about album. Album Isn't Anything (1988). by My Bloody Valentine. Label Creation Records. Bilinda Butcher, Kevin Shields.

My Bloody Valentine's output during the band's miracle years between 1988 and 1991 still feels like a gift. In addition to new masters of Isn't Anything and Loveless, there's also a new My Bloody Valentine release, of a sort. EPs 1988-1991 collects four EPs and a single issued during the band’s creative peak, along with previously unreleased (but widely bootlegged) tracks. This release provides the greatest revelation. Imbibing this material in one large gulp feels like a new window into the band's brilliance. You Made Me Realise, originally released in 1988, is a perennial on any list of the greatest EPs of all time and it vastly improves upon their earlier work.

Album · 1988 · 12 Songs. With this full-length debut, My Bloody Valentine introduced something that few bands have ever created: a whole new noise. Isn’t Anything’s unstable combination of gentle and ferocious elements is the key to this innovation. Even on songs as assaultive as Feed Me with Your Kiss or the Sonic Youth-worthy Sueisfine, the band’s knack for psych-pop melodies, along with Bilinda Butcher and Kevin Shields’ blissed-out vocals, is somehow strong enough to weather Shields’ constantly surging maelstrom of reverb, effects, and feedback. Isn't Anything My Bloody Valentine.

Ecstasy is the second mini album by the alternative rock band My Bloody Valentine, released on 23 November 1987 on Lazy Records.

Isn’t Anything - Студийный альбом от My Bloody Valentine. Вышел 21 ноября 1988г. В альбом вошло 12 треков. Продолжительность альбома: 37:57. My Bloody Valentine - I Can Feel It But I Can't See It (Peel Session).

My Bloody Valentine's debut album goes beyond what is expected of them. Isn't Anything is a Shoegaze and Dream Pop masterpiece, exploring sounds with such confidence that would go on to define the genre. A close listen will allow the ability to decipher just what is on display here, there is a certain moment of tranquility when listening that allows the listener to connect with what is being hear. This album is practically the definition of a beautiful mess. Every song seems a bit off, but it does it in a way that makes it seem all intentional. Surprisingly for me I much prefer the tracks where Bilinda Butcher has lead vocals on this project, while it was the opposite for me on Loveless.

Talk about My Bloody Valentine - Isn't Anything

Wal
I picked this copy up in New York this week complete with incorrect labels. Sound is great... although, as it's MBV, who can tell if it's a bit distorted!? ;-)
Siatanni
if everything is ok this is the original german edition creation records with the distribution of rough trade. it's still from 1988 so the sound is closer to the original recordings, it is not compressed. it's okay to have it, even with the misprints.
Mall
please remove this
Vuzahn
Okay, so I have this version and it's actually misprinted. It shows the right track order at the back but labels are switched. The strange thing about this is that they actually read "side a" for the actual "side b" and vice versa.Might this be a bootleg or something?
Kalv
I bought this new myself in 1988 from a record store with the switched labels - I guess at the time no one was interested in bootlegging this immediately after release.
Syleazahad
The side one/two designations are correct, the track listings aren't.
Qusserel
Hey,I have the same issue but I am sure this is an original pressing! Matrix is identical to this release. Also I owned that german bootleg with pretty bad soundquality and bandname misspelled on spine (already sold) but this record here sounds fantastic and the name is correct on spine. I guess this really is just a missprint, maybe it should be added to the database as such? Regards.
Munigrinn
Ah, that's a a bummer. Always thought I had an original issue.
Alsantrius
looks like it ...read the entry for the other german pressing on the master page ... check the matrix numbers ... you may have the 2013 bootleg ...
Unereel
I just picked this up at my local record store too, it was listed as a "new import" so I was bummed to realize 1) the misprint and 2) that it's likely a bootleg ripped from a CD. I'll give it a listen anyway..Quick question - which part of the label is correct? Is the "Side one" really Side One, and the label lists the songs on the other side. Or is "Side Two" actually side One and the songs listed on the label are on that side? Easier way to ask, if I want to start on "Soft As Snow" which "side" do I play first? Thanks!
Mightsinger
I agree with you, it definitely looks like a bootleg (it's now listed as unofficial). But the sound is pretty good, IMO. What do you think?
Gavigamand
I have the same, but it was sold to me as a new record. I feel like this is an unauthorized copy. Sound is okay, seems compressed.
Ziena
How About the sound ?
Invissibale
Okay, would be interesting to know how much of these exist.
Agagamand
I have the same version, doesn't look like a bootleg to me, surely a misprinted or maybe voluntary...
