Care is the first full-length Shriekback album, released in 1983 as a follow-up to the Tench EP. The single "Lined Up" was a minor club hit and reached number 39 on the Australian ARIA charts. Lined Up" was released twice in the UK (the second time as a remix), peaking at number 89 initially and number 78 for the remix. The album itself spent 3 weeks on the Billboard album chart, peaking at number 188. All tracks written and composed by Dave Allen, Barry Andrews, Carl Marsh, except where noted.

Shriekback expanded their ambitions with the aptly named Jam Science, adding more and more layers of rhythm, melody, and noise to their established sound. At times, the ten compositions here threaten to collapse under their own weight - but they never do. In fact, this album is a minor masterpiece, with enough surface appeal to grab the ear immediately, and enough depth to reward scrutiny over the long term. Jam Science is the second studio album by English pop group Shriekback. It was released in two versions in 1984, and was reissued on CD in a two-disc special release from the band themselves, with the second disc being a live show at Hatfield.
