Doug Sax's Lacquer Mastering is superb. The instruments seem to be in my room when playing this LP. I have the original and this release outshines the original. Great Job.

I have a press that's different cover and number than any of the ones listed here. It's got the same gold Audiophile label as this one (APS 5980) but it's on black vinyl, not red. The page for the '92 Athena repress says this was previously released as AP-80 and Aps 5980 ( this press). What's strange is mine is AP 85. It's listed as having previously released as AP 80 But there isn't a page for it here (yet). Mine has a different cover , once again, to either of these presses. Does the AP 60 press have the same cover as mine? Also mine is in stereo, same as these. if anyone could help me figure this out, it would be gratefully appreciated.

AP 85 is an entirely different release than AP 80. Although the titles are similar the song selections differ. Audiophile Records in the early stereo era released some records as AP before switching to APS as the stereo designation. I assume there are mono and stereo issues of both releases (Owners of those records should create new discogs listings to clarify). To confuse matters, the label was sold and moved to Texas after which time Audiophile re-released AP80 as APS5980. So 5980 is a stereo reissue as is the Athena Upscale, which is correctly listed in discogs.com. Note that Harry Pearson listed only the stereo (original) AP 80 in his TAS Super Disk List.
