referencing The Nuns, LP, Album, RP, BLP 4010, PBS 105. I agree with hobby78, this album does rock and compares favourably with others from the same era. The 'Gimme Danger' LP has the edge if audio-verite scuzz is what you seek, but this more refined set is unfairly overlooked. Jennifer Miro's keyboards lend the band a unique sound. Many Nuns fans prefer "Gimmie danger" live or "CBS demos", but for me this album sounds really good. Reply Notify me 2 Helpful.

The Nuns was a punk rock/new wave and gothic rock band in San Francisco and New York City. Best known as one of the founding acts of the early San Francisco punk scene, the band went through a number of hiatuses and periodic reunions, lineup changes, and changes in style. Overall, The Nuns performed and recorded on and off from the mid-1970s into the 2000s  . Alejandro Escovedo's recollections as a member of The Nuns is the subject of "Nuns Song" from his 2008 album Real Animal.

Studio album by The Nuns. The Nuns is the debut studio album by American rock band The Nuns, released in 1980 by record label Bomp!.

San Francisco punks the Nuns are remembered today - if at all - as the first blip on Alejandro Escovedo's march to finding his voice as a singer/songwriter. But that's not fair, because the Nuns had no trouble standing out in a scene that produced such a wealth of distinctive bands. Where the Nuns could have gone from here is anybody's guess - since this is such a schizophrenic album - but worth revisiting as a minor classic of the late-'70s punk era. ~ Ralph Heibutzki. 1 Savage The Nuns 2:17. 2 Media Control The Nuns 2:6. 3 You Think You're the Best? Talk about The Nuns - The Nuns

Dori
The producer of the EP Joey D'Kaye AKA Joey Swails: "I was the band’s sound engineer at the time and all we wanted was a live reference tape. The recordings of ‘Decadent Jew’ and ‘Suicide Child’ were made, contrary to some comments I’ve seen around the Net, not at the Mabuhay but at the Keystone Palo Alto, when The Nuns played with Blondie (so this would have put it around the first week of March 1977.) this is the one that started it all for me. my first punk rock single, purchased it via mail order.th eprices on Discogs are much better for this 3 song single.'Suicide Child' and 'Savage' liveversions are top notch, just as they were on Four Days in A motel room. I've never seen 'Decedent Jew' available on any other single,lp,etc.it';s still one of if not my fav. asskicker form the NUNS. i'll bet Jennifer Nero still is drop-dead gorgeous. i still have this 3 song single recorded on a cassette., however the prices on Discog for this punk classic ep,are much less than i've ever seen elsewhere. if you got the extra cash to spend, you cannot do much better for $85, than this topnotch single...110+/100 !
