Produced by The Grateful Dead. Album Blues for Allah. Blues for Allah Lyrics. Arabian wind The needle's eye is thin The Ships of State sail on mirage And drown in sand Out in No-man's Land Where Allah does command. What good is spilling Blood? It will not Grow a thing. Taste eternity The swords sings Blues for Allah. Blues for Allah also features some remarkable sound sculpting, including the chirping of crickets and Garcia’s voice, highly manipulated through a voltage controlled amplifier. The song was first performed on March 23, 1975 at the SNACK benefit at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco. Blues for Allah" Track Info. Written By Robert Hunter, The Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia & 6 more.

Lyrics to "Blues For Allah" song by Grateful Dead: Arabian wind, The needle's eye is thin, The ships of state sail on mirage, And drown in sand, Out i. .It will not grow a thing; Taste eternity the swords sing: Blues of Allah In 'sh'Allah. The thousand stories have come round to one again, Arabian night, Our Gods pursue their fight, What fatal flowers of darkness bloom from seeds of light

Blues for Allah contains quite a few surprises, some pleasant (Mickey Hart’s reappearance; most of side one) and some embarrassing (most of side two), but at least the Grateful Dead have begun to awaken from the artistic coma they’ve been in since 1971. With their self-owned and -operated record company fantasies biting the dust due to financially trying times and some decidedly uninteresting releases, the Dead have handed their distribution over to United Artists.
