Incorruptible is the twelfth studio album by American heavy metal band Iced Earth. It was released on June 16, 2017, by Century Media. It is their first album with their current lead guitarist Jake Dreyer, and also features a returning Brent Smeadley on drums, whose last recorded performance with Iced Earth was their 2013 live album "Live in Ancient Kourion".

ICED EARTH has completed work on its new album, "Incorruptible" (formerly "The Judas Goat"), for a mid-June release. The track listing for the effort is as follows: 01. Great Heathen Army02. Regarding how "Incorruptible" compares to previous ICED EARTH albums, guitarist and main songwriter Jon Schaffer told Metal Wani: "They're all kind of their own thing, but I have a very strong gut feeling about this, and so does everybody in the band, that this is one of the really special ones

Iced Earth : Incorruptible,álbum, crítica, lista de pistas, mp3, letras. We feel the passion and the will through the album, but lack of creativity is lacking. Far from it the idea of requiring Iced Earth a masterpiece, because all their albums have had splendid pieces and weaker pieces, but have something in their teeth and not get bored would not have been too much demanded. Incorruptible however has some positives aspects! To start with the cover that represents the burning sound of the album. It is very well mixed, no instrument tramples its neighbor.

Iced Earth's 12th studio album, 'Incorruptible' now has an album cover, release date + track listing & fans can sink their teeth into a live cut of a new song. The album will bring 10 new tracks, including the opener "Great Heathen Army," which the band performed live back in late 2016 and can be seen in the video below. While the album cover, created by David Newman-Stump and Roy Young, boasts Iced Earth's Set Abominae mascot crucified to a pentacle about to be enveloped in flames, this album will not feature a thematic concept. It's just 10 individual tracks not related to each other. Actually, on Plagues Of Babylon, it was only the first six that were related to the Something Wicked story; it was like a zombie apocalypse.

When a new Iced Earth album arrives, you can trust it will include three things: bombast, bravado and triplets. Incorruptible is the veteran band’s 12th album of 100% pure American power metal and the third to feature the talented Stu Block on vocals. In many ways it’s exactly the album you’d expect from Mr. Schaffer and company at this stage of their career. It’s full of thick riffs, powerful vocals and tales of bravery, battles and brotherhood. So it’s no surprise the main feeling I get from Incorruptible is one of familiarity. Opener Great Heathen Army could appear on any Iced album from 1998 onward. Those classic Schaffer riffs crest and crash like iron waves on a sheet-metal beach and Stu does his best Barlow-meets-Ripper impression with his commanding and authoritative voice. It’s the quintessential IE song and fun in their epic yet meat-headed way.

It’s been almost 20 years since Iced Earth were labeled by press and fans the next best thing in heavy metal. In a decade where metal was almost outlawed, Schaffer and Co. enjoyed their creative peak and released an array of material which ranged from great to classic within the genre. In the meantime, Jon Schaffer established himself as the best right hand of the ‘90s and offered us an infinite number of triplets played in every possible manner

And so, ‘Incorruptible’ tries to recover once again that organic and vivid sensation present in Iced Earth’s golden days by being their most heterogeneous and diversified album in 16 years. Schaffer’s loyal servants, Stu Block, Luke Appleton and Brent Smedley, as well as newcomer Jake Dreyer (guitars, ex- White Wizzard, Witherfall) sharpened their instruments once again and, this time around, managed to inject a more organic and enjoyable performance to the sound, overall. With songs that range from the more emotional and slow such as The Veil to the classic power/thrash fast and aggressive.

12th studio album due out on 16th June via Century Media there couldn’t be a more appropriate title than Incorruptible. From the offset and the grand, opulent sounding intro to opening track Great Heathen Army you automatically get the sense that you are about to bear witness to something special and as the hard hitting riffs kick in proceeded by the unmistakable falsetto courtesy of Stu Block you are embraced by anthemic verses and powerful battle cries. Incorruptible is due for release on 16th June via Century Media Records. ICED EARTH are featured in the new issue of Distorted Sound, support independent magazines and purchase a copy here.
