Ariels is the third studio album from the electronica band Bent, released October 12, 2004, through Open/Ministry of Sound. There is a stronger element of acoustic instruments present on the album than the previous releases, and the earlier extensive use of samples has been toned down. I Can't Believe It's Over" – 4:15. Bent are an electronica act from Nottingham in England, consisting of Neil "Nail" Tolliday and Simon Mills. They released their debut album Programmed to Love in 2000. The duo were initially noted for their ability to create their own mischievous style of recordings by sampling their private record collections (which they have themselves referred to as "dodgy"). On the 2003 single "Magic Love" they sampled a Toni Tennille performance

Ariels" is a truly wonderful album. Out of all Bent's work, this album is the closest to my heart. Highly recommended, especially on lonely nostalgic evenings. Reply Notify me 2 Helpful. All I can say is: the landscape they've captured and pictured in this new album is simply mesmerizing. Deeply emotional, ARIELS could be unfairly called "cheesy" after a first listen. However, if you take the time to really absorb it, you'll realize the album is melancholic without being depressive, and it's sad without being sappy.

Thankfully for Bent, in Ariels they've nothing to worry about.
