Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band: Live In New York City is the name of a concert film done by HBO, featuring the first ever major televised Bruce Springsteen concert. It was later released on DVD with eleven extra songs not televised, and as a CD of the same name. All of these forms document Springsteen and the E Street Band's highly successful 1999-2000 Reunion Tour, their first concert tour together in eleven years.

Compared to the gargantuan Live/1975-85, 2001's Live in New York City seems like the very definition of restraint, but consider this - not only does it span two discs, it leaves out a considerable portion of the set list from the show and thereby the set list of Springsteen's celebrated 2000 reunion with the E Street Band. Some critics complained that this record was little more than a tie-in to the HBO special of the same name, but even if that's true, the record would have merit since it illustrates exactly why this group should never have parted ways

Recorded at Madison Square Garden on the final two nights of the E Street Band’s 1999-2000 Reunion tour, this two-disc live set documents a classic E Street outing. Included are the first-ever live releases of Prove It All Night and Jungleland, as well as new songs American Skin (41 Shots) and Land of Hope and Dreams. Released: March 27, 2001. I hadn't seen Springsteen live since the late 1970's. I needn't have worried. He closed the Oakland show with "Land of Hope and Dreams" and I was delighted to find it here. He also gives us "41 Shots," which is as powerful as any song released by any artist in the last five years. Tracy Chapman will someday cover "41 Shots. Awesome soundtrack to the HBO special. The return of the E Street Band nails it. Love Atlantic City with the band, and Youngstown with Nils' superb guitar solo. A band that knows how it's done.

Live from New York City, 1967 is the second live album by Simon & Garfunkel, recorded at Philharmonic Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City, on 22 January 1967. The album was released on the Columbia Legacy CK 61513 label on 16 July 2002. The performance is noteworthy in that it was the first official live release by Simon and Garfunkel recorded in the 1960s. Recorded in 1967 prior to the duo's work on the soundtrack to The Graduate.

I wouldn’t have minded seeing Blinded by the Light, For You, or Spirit in the Night off his first album. Those have all been made much better known as Manfred Mann songs. I’d have loved to see Bruce steal ‘em back. 3 Born to Run (1975): Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out was arguably the most rocking point of the evening. Bruce certainly got the crowd revved up, though. It also worked well to do an extended jam and band introductions in conjunction with this song  .
