Naked Eyes are a British new wave band that rose to prominence in the early 1980s. The band had four US top 40 singles, but had little commercial success in their homeland. Their first hit, "Always Something There to Remind Me", was a cover of the Burt Bacharach/Hal David standard. The band had subsequent hits with their own compositions, "Promises, Promises", "When the Lights Go Out", and "(What) In the Name of Love" in the United States.

Burning Bridges is the 1983 debut album by Naked Eyes. The album was released in the United States and Canada as Naked Eyes with two tracks demoted to B-sides. The track "Always Something There to Remind Me" was released as a single and reached No. 59 in the United Kingdom chart and US Top 10 in July 1983. The album was released for the first time on CD in 2012 by Cherry Red Records. All tracks written by Pete Byrne and Rob Fisher, except where noted.

The results were predictably less interesting the first outing, but Fuel for Fire did manage to recapture the magic at least once with "(What) In the Name of Love. All but two tracks were compiled on Promises, Promises: The Very Best of Naked Eyes. 1 (What) In the Name of Love Naked Eyes 4:23. 2 New Hearts Naked Eyes 3:36. 3 Sacrifice Naked Eyes 4:5. 4 Eyes of a Child Naked Eyes 3:31. 5 Once Is Enough Naked Eyes 4:6. 6 No Flowers Please Naked Eyes 3:59.
