Формируйте собственную коллекцию записей John Coltrane. A daring album filled with nuance, pedigree and a large lush sound, one in a line of Coltrane albums that not only takes considered steps forward and back, but from side to side as well, causing me to wonde. hat is it that John Coltrane’s looking for in music, or perhaps more aptly, within himself that he’s been attempting to bring.

Om is a 1968 album by John Coltrane recorded in October 1965. Om refers to the sacred syllable in Hinduism, which symbolizes the infinite or the entire Universe. Coltrane described Om as the "first syllable, the primal word, the word of power"

John William Coltrane (September 23, 1926 – July 17, 1967) was an American jazz saxophonist and composer. Working in the bebop and hard bop idioms early in his career, Coltrane helped pioneer the use of modes and was at the forefront of free jazz. He led at least fifty recording sessions and appeared on many albums by other musicians, including trumpeter Miles Davis and pianist Thelonious Monk. Over the course of his career, Coltrane's music took on an increasingly spiritual dimension

The assembled musicians worked within a basic quartet setting, featuring Coltrane on soprano and tenor sax, McCoy Tyner on piano, and Elvin Jones on drums, with double-bass chores held down by Art Davis and Reggie Workman.

Coltrane is a 1962 studio album by jazz saxophonist John Coltrane. When reissued on CD, it featured a Coltrane composition dedicated to his hero "Big Nick" Nicholas which Coltrane would record later the same year with his Ellington collaboration Duke Ellington & John Coltrane. The composition "Tunji" was written by Coltrane in dedication to the Nigerian drummer, Babatunde Olatunji.

Coltrane's final album for Atlantic bookends the exploratory motifs he explores on his Impulse! debut, Africa/Brass,recorded concurrently, with each involving knotty rhythmic shifts and Spanish-derived textures. You can never get enough early Coltrane and Ole nicely compliments the Rhino Coltrane Original Album Series 5CD set, both highly recommended. It was recorded at A&R Studios by Phil Ramone and the original Atlantic CD has nice sound.

Talk about John Coltrane - Olé Coltrane

MisterQweene
1961? This is so forward that it is scary. Why is everything not so amusing? Because of, among others Coltrane... One thousand years ahead. I salute you! Forever and ever.
