Honk is an American rock band, based in Laguna Beach, California. They are best known for providing the soundtrack for the surf documentary film, Five Summer Stories. In the early 1970s they toured with The Beach Boys, Chicago, Jackson Browne and Dave Mason before splitting up in 1975

Honk Five Summer Stories. It has something for every musical taste, it’s perfect for the movie but stands alone as a great album. You might ask yourself how can it be so great if I never heard of it? If you have trouble taking my word for it just listen, judge for yourself. I was lucky enough to see the mainland premier of this movie and a live performance by Honk at The Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on March 24th 1972 with a bunch of my high school surf buddies. We were amped to hit the waves the next day. Time to wax ’em up folks, the swell is in!
