Spear Of Destiny (. is a post-punk rock band formed in the 1980s lead by singer songwriter Kirk Brandon, former Theatre of Hate frontman and bassist Stan Stammers. They are best known for their single, Never Take Me Alive, which was a top 20 hit in 1987. They had (and still have) a cult following and they have produced eleven studio albums, notably 'One Eyed Jacks' and 'World Service'. Spear of Destiny is a British rock band, founded in 1983 by singer and songwriter Kirk Brandon and bassist Stan Stammers. It has had an ever-changing line-up through the years. There Must Be a Better World Somewhere is the twenty seventh studio album by B. B. King released in 1981. It was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Ethnic or Traditional Recording the following year.

In 1985, their album, World Service reached the UK Top 20. Founder member Stan Stammers left in 1986. In the wake of the release of the fourth album, Outland (1987) and its Top 15 hit "Never Take Me Alive", the band began achieving some chart success and staging sell-out concerts, including a support slot to U2 at Wembley Stadium Spear of Destiny have had 10 UK Singles Chart entri.
