Full Circle Live 1988 captures a live performance by Pierre Moerlen's Gong from a June 1988 show in Bremen, Germany. In this second phase of the prog group Gong, composer Pierre Moerlen drums alongside guitarist Ake Ziedén, bassist Hansford Rowe, and vibraphonists Stefan Traub and Benoit Moerlen in supporting the group's Second Wind album, which was on the verge of being released. The set is extremely jazzy, with an emphasis on percussion jams and vibe solos.

I personally like this album because of using of mallet instruments there - and Pierre Moerlen's drumming of course. The music is not "something-very- ve" jazzrock. This is a brilliant live album recorded in 1988.

Gong are an international progressive rock band that incorporates elements of jazz and space rock into their musical style. The group was formed in Paris in 1967 by Australian musician Daevid Allen and English vocalist Gilli Smyth. Band members have included Didier Malherbe, Pip Pyle, Steve Hillage, Mike Howlett, Pierre Moerlen, Bill Laswell and Theo Travis. Others who have played on stage with Gong include Don Cherry, Chris Cutler, Bill Bruford, Brian Davison, Dave Stewart and Tatsuya Yoshida.
