The album cover for "Parliament's Greatest Hits" is notable in that it features no artwork from any of the established P-Funk album illustrators. The compilation was produced by Tom Vickers, who formerly served as Minister Of Information for the band from 1976 to 1980. It was the last P-Funk album to be certified gold (500,000 copies sold). Complete your Parliament collection. This seems to have had a recent (2008?) reissue by Scorpio on 180g vinyl. Casablanca logo on label seems unusually light and soft.

Parliament is a funk band formed in the late 1960s by George Clinton as part of his c collective. Less rock-oriented than its sister act Funkadelic, Parliament drew on science-fiction and outlandish performances in their work. The band scored a number of Top 10 hits, including the million-selling 1975 single "Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof off the Sucker)," and Top 40 albums such as Mothership Connection (1975).
