Album · 1978 · 16 Songs. Always playful, Aerosmith decided to design their double live album, another ‘70s staple, in the spirit of a bootleg, by mislabeling the track listing, leaving off Draw the Line and sneaking it in at the end of the James Brown number, Mother Popcorn. Popcorn and I Ain’t Got You are taken from a Boston radio broadcast from March 1973, while the remainder of the album is culled from concerts in 1977 and 1978. The versions included here are fairly raw and refreshing from the usual over-perfected live albums that made it to market

This album is about as close as you can get to a true live album. It is very raw and has little dubbing. The music is hard and fast and is a great representation of the real Aerosmith.

Aerosmith is the eponymous debut studio album by American rock band Aerosmith, released on January 5, 1973 by Columbia Records. The song "Walkin' the Dog" is a cover of a song originally performed by Rufus Thomas. The single "Dream On" became an American top ten hit when re-released in December 1975 ; it had first been released as a single in June 1973. The album peaked at number 21 on the US Billboard 200 Chart in 1976.

Bootleg is a live album by American hard rock band Aerosmith, released in 1978. While most of the performances were drawn from concerts in 1977 and 1978, the covers "I Ain't Got You" and "Mother Popcorn" were taken from a radio broadcast of a Boston performance on March 20, 1973. The design of the album is intended to ape the poor production values offered by contemporary bootleg records, even going so far as to give an incorrect track listing: the song "Draw the Line" is included on the record but does not appear listed. The back of the album cover includes.
