I Can't Stand Still is the debut solo studio album by American musician Don Henley, drummer and co-lead vocalist for the Eagles. It was released on August 16, 1982 by Asylum Records. Henley, Danny Kortchmar and Greg Ladanyi produced the album. I Can't Stand Still achieved gold status, and peaked at No. 24 on the Billboard 200 and at the same position on the UK Albums Chart
Dirty Laundry is the second single from Don Henley’s debut album Can’t Stand Still. It peaked at on the Billboard 100, reached the top 10 in Austria & New Zealand, and was a modest hit in the UK. It was his first of several top 40 US hits and was certified Gold in March 1983. To air someone’s ‘dirty laundry’ means discussing or arguing about unpleasant or private things in front of other people. The song is about tabloid journalism, inspired by the intrusive press coverage surrounding the deaths of John Belushi and Natalie Wood, and Henley’s own arrest in 1980
I Can’t Stand Still is Don Henley’s debut solo album and was released on August 13, 1982. Recorded after the breakup of The Eagles, the album featured the hit single Dirty Laundry. The album was produced by Don Henley and Greg Ladanyi and peaked at on the Billboard Pop Albums chart. I Can't Stand Still (1982) is the first of three solo albums Don Henley would release in the 1980s. His debut album includes the hit single Dirty Laundry, and the tracks Talking to the Moon, Long Way Home, Lilah, and The Unclouded Day. The track Nobody's Business co-written with Bob Seger would have been a great Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers song.

It was released as the second single from Henley's second studio solo album, Building the Perfect Beast. The song was written by Danny Kortchmar. Songs they wrote together include "Dirty Laundry," "New York Minute" and "I Can't Stand Still. Kortchmar also wrote some songs on his own for Henley, becoming one of the few writers whose words the Eagles founder would put to tape.
