Tilly and the Wall is an indie pop group from Omaha, Nebraska. Their name originated from a children's book called Tillie and the Wall, written by Leo Lionni. They are particularly noted for having a tap dancer, Jamie Pressnall, instead of a drummer. The group formed in 2001 after the demise of several Omaha groups, including Conor Oberst's Park Av. of which Neely Jenkins and Jamie Pressnall (then Jamie Williams) were members.

Wild Like Children is the debut album by Tilly and the Wall. The album was recorded in the basement of Steve Pedersen's house, and was the first release of Team Love Records. The CD-release party for the album was held in Omaha, Nebraska on July 3, 2004. Friends Team Rigge opened up the show. Guests included Jiha Lee, Conor Oberst and Steve Pedersen. Wild Like Children is the Omaha quintet's first album and it is a ere gem. The tap dancing is pretty darn cool. The moment when she breaks into the "Be My Baby" beat on "Fell Down the Stairs" or the couple of bars of wild soloing on "Reckless" are like nothing you've heard on a pop record. But before you write the group off as a novelty act, listen to the wrenching tale of lost love "Let It Rain" or the tough punk ramble "Nights of the Living Dead" or the eet ballad "I Always Knew  . So don't be calling Tilly and the Wall twee or precious or any of those code words that would consign them to the fringes of the music world. They are what rock & roll should always be about: passion, imagination, commitment, and songs that make you want to mend all the broken hearts you can find. Powerful stuff, indeed.
