The Freddy Jones band was formed in 1992 by Wayne Healy and Marty Lloyd, two Loyola University dropouts from Chicago. They self-released their first album, which was later repackaged and released on Capricorn Records in 1994 after scoring a local radio hit with "In a Daydream". They continued to build a fanbase both in the Midwest US and nationwide through tours of colleges.

Live is the 2013 live Blu-ray and DVD released by alternative rock group Garbage through Eagle Rock Entertainment. The recording took place in October 2012, at the Ogden Theatre in Denver, Colorado and was initially broadcast live on AXS TV. The show took place approximately mid-way through the bands year-long world tour in support of their fifth album, Not Your Kind of People and features the entire group present, with bass provided by Eric Avery.

It's been a long time for fans of FJB since we've seen an album of new material. With Time Well Wasted, we're given three new songs and ten concert recordings of their standards. Given that FJB is a jam band, best seen live, this shouldn't be much of a surprise. The first three tracks-Home Thing, Contender, and Empty Room, are welcome additions to the FJB catalog. Multiple guitars, good harmonies, uplifting lyrics. There are better recordings of most of those songs on Mile High Live or the Freddy Jones Band. In particular "And She Cried" comes off flat compared to the previous version.
