Spear of Destiny is a British rock band, founded in 1983 by singer and songwriter Kirk Brandon and bassist Stan Stammers. It has had an ever-changing line-up through the years. Outland is the fourth studio album by Spear of Destiny, released by 10 Records in 1987 (see 1987 in music). It included the hit single "Never Take Me Alive" which reached n. 4 in the UK singles charts in 1987 - Spear of Destiny's only Top 20 hit in the UK. Three other singles were released from the album, namely "Strangers In Our Town", "Was That You?" and "The Traveller", all making the UK Top 50. All songs written by Kirk Brandon.

They are best known for their single, Never Take Me Alive, which was a top 20 hit in 1987. They had (and still have) a cult following and they have produced eleven studio albums, notably 'One Eyed Jacks' and 'World Service'.

Imperial Prototype is the eleventh studio album by Spear Of Destiny. The album was released on Brandon's own record label Eastersnow and all the songs were written just prior to recording.
