The choirs at Brigham Young University (BYU) consist of four auditioned choirs: the BYU Singers, the Concert Choir, the Men's Chorus, and the Women's Chorus. Each choir is highly accomplished and performs from an extensive repertoire. Together, the choirs have recorded and released a total of 23 albums. The choirs perform throughout the academic year. Admission into each choir is by audition, carried out in the weeks leading up to the fall semester. Each ensemble requires a two-semester commitment.

The Latvian Radio Choir, The State Choir Latvija, Riga Chamber Choir Ave Sol alongside with several leading Latvian amateur choirs, participate in concerts organized by professional music producers and agencies all over the world. The Jāzeps Vītols 6th International Choral Conductors Competition will be held in cooperation with three professional choirs – the State Choir Latvija, the Latvian Radio Choir and Riga Chamber Choir Ave Sol. The mixed choir and symphony orchestra of JVLMA will also take part in the competition program.
