Luke Temple is an American pop-folk singer-songwriter. He records under his own name and with New York-based band Here We Go Magic. Temple was born in Salem, Massachusetts. After spending time in Northern California, he studied painting at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts. After struggling to make a living as visual artist, including painting murals in upscale New York City apartments, Temple moved into songwriting and recording

In between making excellent music videos and picking up a hitchhiking John Waters with main band Here We Go Magic, Luke Temple has been making some deliriously great solo music. Here’s Katie, from Temple’s upcoming album Good Mood Fool.

Luke Temple has made a name for himself since 2009 as frontman of indie dreamkraut band Here We Go Magic, whose 2012 album A Different Ship continues to grow on us a year after its release. But Temple was writing and recording and performing his own music well before Here We Go Magic existed, so it only makes sense that he’s releasing a brand new album this year.
