The Complex Sessions captured Neil and the band just after the Sleeps With Angels recording sessions, as Young was still obsessing over the death of Nirvana's Kurt Cobain. Neil Young and Crazy Horse returned to Complex Studios in Los Angeles, where they had recorded Sleeps With Angels, for the night of Oct. 3-4, 1994, and director Jonathan Demme filmed them performing four songs from the album.
