Haircut One Hundred were a British new wave group formed in 1980 in Beckenham, London by Nick Heyward. In 1981 and 1982 the band had four UK Top 10 hit singles: "Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl)", "Love Plus One", "Nobody's Fool", and "Fantastic Day". Nick Heyward and Les Nemes had been in several bands together since 1977. They were first known as Rugby, then as the Boat Party, then as Captain Pennyworth, and lastly as Moving England, before finally becoming Haircut One Hundred.

Paint and Paint is the second and final studio album by the British new wave band Haircut One Hundred, released in 1984 by Polydor Records. It was their only album released after the early 1983 departure of lead singer Nick Heyward, and the band's percussionist, Marc Fox, assumed lead vocal duties. The band's longtime drummer Blair Cunningham performs on the album, but was not listed as an official member.

Nick Heyward had departed by this point to sign with Arista, leaving the band and the name ‘Haircut One Hundred’ with his old label. Additionally nine ‘development mixes’ (from the band’s own archive) feature on the second disc along with four BBC session tracks from May 1984.

Paint and Paint is the second album by the British band Haircut One Hundred, released in 1984. Their first and only album released after lead singer Nick Heyward's departure from the group in early 1983, it features Mark Fox as lead vocalist. Unlike the band's first album, Paint and Paint was not a commercial success and failed to chart, and none of the singles released from it reached the UK Top 40. All tracks written by M. Fox, L. Nemes, G. Jones and P. Smith, except "Where Do You Run To Now?" written by S. French, M. Smith.

Paint & Paint from 1984 is amazing. Cant wait for it to be re-issued again on CD format. the songs, vocals, and musicianship are FANTASTIC. p-s- Les Neme's is an incredible bass player. An album that was unfairly overlooked and has stood the test of time amazingly well. The thing with Haircut 100 was that you had superb musicians who all brought something different to the mix. Inventive, funky, melodic and fun.

Three singles were taken from the original Paint And Paint album; ‘Prime Time’ this collection includes the album and 12″ versions plus the development mix of the track.
