I'm doubly sure that Rodgers and Hammerstein would have expanded their score into a full-fledged Broadway musical were it not for Hammerstein's death in 1960. As such, all subsequent presentations of this musical (including the two TV remakes) have interpolated extra songs. While nothing compares to the original with Julie Andrews who was ably helped by Kaye Ballard, Alice Ghostley and Edie Adams, this cast recording is well worth having for the wonderful singing and the songs that were added. And Victoria Clark especially shines as the Fairy Godmother and sings "There's Music in You" which is taken from a movie.
