The Beatles 1964 world tour was The Beatles first world tour, launched after their 1964 UK tour. The reception was enthusiastic, with The Spectator describing it as "hysterical". It was followed by their subsequent US tour in August that year. Note: As Ringo Starr was hospitalized in the UK, Jimmie Nicol was temporarily hired to stand in for Ringo as a drummer for the shows from 4 June -13 June until Ringo rejoined the group in Melbourne.

The Beatles experienced huge popularity on the British record charts in early 1963, but record companies in the United States did not immediately follow up with releases of their own, and the Beatles' commercial success in the US continued to be hampered by other obstacles, including issues with royalties and public derision toward the "Beatle haircut". It was nearly a year before the Beatles became widely popular in America

The Beatles staged their second concert tour of the United States (with one date in Canada) in the late summer of 1965. At the peak of American Beatlemania, they played a mixture of outdoor stadiums and indoor arenas, with historic concerts at Shea Stadium in New York and the Hollywood Bowl. Typically of the era, the tour was a "package" presentation, with several artists on the bill

But 1964 was the year of the Beatles’ American conquest, and it began with the January 25th appearance of I Want to Hold Your Hand on Billboard’s Top Forty chart and the February 7th arrival of the band in the States for a two-week promotional blitz. Overnight, Beatlemania swept the nation. Britannia Ruled the airwaves in 1964. He produced James Taylor‘s first album at Apple, but his most famous client is Linda Ronstadt, whose classic sound he helped tailor in the Seventies. Some of the loudest, rawest and toughest music of the British Invasion came out of London.

Title: In the Eye of the Hurricane (1971). A maniac killer in a red cape and hood is killing off American tourists on a tour bus by gouging out their eyeballs. Director: Umberto Lenzi.

7 February 1964 was the day The Beatles' American invasion began. The band's Boeing 707, Pan Am flight 101, left London Airport early on the morning of 7 February 1964, bound for New York City. Also on the flight were The Beatles, Brian Epstein, Neil Aspinall and Mal Evans, plus dozens of journalists and photographers. All we knew was that a couple of the records had done well in the States. We believed there was still a huge mountain to climb if The Beatles were really to make it there. At Heathrow there was pandemonium
