Pitbull's On the Floor sample of Kaoma's Lambada. Tiësto and Allure (Trance)'s The Loves We Lost sample of Paula Cole's She Can't Feel Anything Anymore.

Not Forgotten" is the first single released under the Leftfield name; however, Paul Daley was not involved in the song's creation. The song was written by Neil Barnes and released only on 12" in 1990 on the Outer Rhythm record label, published by Rhythm King Music. Electronic music magazine Mixmag praised the single as an important step forward for British house music.

To the reviewer curious about the titles/versions. It is the Hard Hands Mix. It was renamed the Hard Hands Mix slightly later. I have a couple of copies of both this and the titled Hard Hands Mix and they are the same. By the way, this remix was circulating before 1991, not that long after the original mix.

Can anyone confirm if the Not Forgotten Remix on this ( FOOT 9P) pressing is the Hard Hands Mix? Or is it another version/remix?

Absolutely haunting. A truely beautiful piece of music. Back when happy, over-the-top Italian house was dominating, here's comes Leftfield creating music that moved you on a whole different level. Although simplistic, and certainly of a different era, "More Than I Know" has a universal, timeless appeal that seems to transcend genre. The two B side tracks are the ones that really caught my ear. The "More Mix" is a stunning down-tempo number, that exudes a sort of majestic ambient beauty that reminds one of the aching beauty of a Oliver Lieb or early Moby production. The "Even More Mix" strips back even more of the original's percussive elements, giving the song a dreamy ambient quality. Simply superb stuff, and just one of many classic productions from two of progressive music's true pioneers.

Not Forgotten (Hard Hands mix) was pioneering progressive house before the term was even invented and it still sounds fresh today. The masses that now enjoy the music of Leftfield are likely to have never heard this track which is still their finest moment - go find it.
