Lizard is the third studio album by British progressive rock band King Crimson, released in December 1970 by record label Island. It was the second recorded by a transitional line-up of the group that never had the opportunity to perform live, following In the Wake of Poseidon. This is the only album by the band to feature bassist and vocalist Gordon Haskell, apart from his appearance on the song "Cadence and Cascade" from the previous album, and drummer Andy McCulloch as official members of the band.

Ever wondered how much hard work goes into getting the stage ready so that the members of King Crimson can step up and do their thing? Wonder no more. Beat is the ninth studio album by the British rock band King Crimson, released in 1982 by record label . It is the first King Crimson studio album to feature a band line-up identical to that of their previous album. According to the Trouser Press Record Guide, the album focused on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the publication of the novel On the Road by Jack Kerouac.

Red (King Crimson album). For other albums called Red, see Red (disambiguation). Red is the seventh studio album by progressive rock group King Crimson, released in 1974. Also, unlike previous King Crimson albums, Red features extensive use of guitar overdubs. Later albums lacked acoustic guitar entirely and reverted to a minimum of overdubs (perhaps partly because every lineup of the band after this included two guitarists). During the recording process, Fripp decided to take a "backseat" from the sessions' decision making.

King Crimson are a progressive rock band. Formed in London in 1968 (but featuring a transatlantic line-up since 1981), the band are widely recognised as a foundational progressive rock group (although the group members resist the label). King Crimson's existence has been characterised by regular periods of hiatus (each of which have been initiated and concluded by Fripp). From 1997 until the present day, various subdivisions of King Crimson have continued to pursue aspects of the band's work and approaches via a series of related bands collectively referred to as "ProjeKCts". Establishing a third, stable line-up in 1972, King Crimson developed a European-influenced improvisational sound with elements of hard rock, jazz fusion and a distinctly harsher classical component (mainly inspired by Béla Bartók ) before breaking up in 1974.
