Talk about Yvonne Fair - The Bitch Is Black

Mr_Mix
This girl is awesome! She reminds me of a female James Brown with her vocal delivery, which is quite the coincidence considering she's an affiliate of the Godfather himself. A couple artists have sampled her before (X-Raided, Ghostface Killah and The Lady of Rage just to name a few) and I think this album needs more exposure. I'm lucky enough to own the original cover pressing, but regardless of which issue you get you NEED this album!

If you only ever get to record one album, then make it a great one. That is exactly what Ms Fair did, although to rate the album as merely great is underrating it. It is an astonishing album with not one less than stellar track. Vocally extraordinary with such raw and seemingly endless power shown by Ms Fair. A true 10/10 album from this wonderful vocalist.
