Darkthrone - Rehearsal 1991 flac album

Darkthrone is a black metal band from Kolbotn, Norway. It formed in 1986 as a death metal band under the name Black Death. In 1991, the band embraced a black metal style influenced by Bathory and Celtic Frost and became one of the leading bands in the Norwegian black metal scene.

Back on the Darkthrone front, a pair of inconspicuous EPs (2005's Under Beskyttelse av Morke and 2006's Too Old, Too Cold) preceded the band's next and, amazingly, twelfth album, The Cult Is Alive, which surprisingly found them reunited with Peaceville Records, a decade after their separation (leading to the inevitable CD reissues)  .

This rehearsal is some what shorter than their legendary ‘Ascension Of A Darker Deity’, but has better songs in my opinion. So yeah, dungeon death metal with interesting twists and turns. It is worth to get this as well if you do not own any of their stuff, but has none of the legendary stuff from ‘Descensio. so it is worth getting that one as well.

As you may know we have a new album coming out (I am not on social media at all anymore so I don't know what you've seen or heard so far) and Ted said that this time our fans will hear a new song first. So guys here it is - our new track, The Hardship Of The Scots and since Ted and me always write our own songs, one song could not fully represent Old Star, but let’s start with this one Normally the journalists and other scenesters get to check out new albums 2-3-4 months before fans get to hear it, but not this.

Country of origin: Norway. Darkthrone started as a death metal band, but by the end of 1990 and the beginning of 1991, when they were rehearsing the material that would eventually become Goatlord, Nocturno Culto, Zephyrous, and Fenriz developed interest to black metal. Soon they decided to abort the Goatlord sessions because the material didn't reflect what they felt, and started to compose the songs that were to be found.
