La Roux - La Roux flac album

La Roux is the debut studio album by English synth-pop duo La Roux. It was released on 26 June 2009 by Polydor Records. The album peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart and was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). It includes the singles "In for the Kill" and "Bulletproof", which reached numbers two and one on the UK Singles Chart, respectively.

1: La Roux is the electropop project of Elly Jackson (born 12 March 1988 in London, United Kingdom; singer and keyboardist). It started as a duo in 2008 and became a solo project in 2011, when Jackson's songwriting and producing partner Ben Langmaid left the group. Her music is largely influenced by 80s pop music including Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, The Human League, Heaven 17, Yazoo and Prince.

La Roux: English synth-pop act formed in 2006 by singer Eleanor "Elly" Jackson and record producer Ben Langmaid. Their debut album La Roux was a critical and commercial success, winning a Grammy Award and producing hit singles such as "In for the Kill" and "Bulletproof"

Elly Jackson last released an album in 2009. Once, a pop star leaving five years between their debut and its follow-up would have been unimaginable – so much would have happened in the interim that it would be almost impossible to keep up, to seem like anything other than a relic from a lost past. Even today, when rock and pop develops at a far slower pace, five years seems a very long time to wait  . It's five years since La Roux's extraordinary debut album was released. Since then, Elly Jackson has split from her songwriting partner, lost her voice and almost spun out of control.

La Roux does have a newer sophomore album, Trouble in Paradise (2014). If you are new to La Roux, I definitely recommend that you start with this self-titled 2009 album first. It was far more popular than Trouble in Paradise, and I like it a lot more. I sincerely hope that Elly produces another album in the future that is as good as this one. In the end I give the album a B-, but I see a potential to deliver A+ material in the very near future.
