Launched in the fall of 1975, Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue flouted the touring conventions of the time by featuring an eclectic cast of characters and playing small and unusual venues with little advance notice.
The Bootleg Series Vol. 5: Bob Dylan Live 1975, The Rolling Thunder Revue is a live album by Bob Dylan released by Columbia Records in 2002. Until the release of this album, the only official live documentation of the Rolling Thunder Revue was Hard Rain, recorded during the (less critically well received) second leg of the tour.
A wildly unorthodox tour, Bob Dylan’s 1975-1976 Rolling Thunder Revue was less a traditional tour than a rambling, ragtag caravan. The legendary run has made it to the market twice: first on the 1976 live album Hard Rain, then on 2002’s double-disc The Bootleg Series Vol. 5: Bob Dylan Live 1975. But neither record actually features a front-to-back show, failing to capture what it was like to be there. Four-hour shows in New England auditoriums on long fall nights. The who’s-who of folk-rock royalty: Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Roger McGuinn, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, scores more.
The Rolling Thunder Revue was a concert tour by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan with numerous musicians and previous collaborators. The purpose of the tour was to allow Dylan, who had now become a major recording artist and concert performer, to play in smaller auditoriums in less populated cities where he could be more intimate with his audiences. Some of the performers on the tour were Joan Baez, Roger McGuinn, Joni Mitchell, Ronee Blakely and Ramblin' Jack Elliott
Hurricane (Bob Dylan–Jacques Levy/Bob Dylan) We’re gonna play this song now. The 14-disc box set captures the power of Dylan fronting his loudest and hottest band, if little of the "revue" element that made the tour unique. Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue tour of 1975-76 is a paradox in the well-stuffed annals of his concert career: It is at once his best-documented and most elusive trek.
One of the many oddities of Bob Dylan's long and unruly career has been the rather cursory recording treatment given his stint as ringleader of the Rolling Thunder Revue. It's a shortcoming that's rectified with the release of Live 1975. Prior to the appearance of this two-disc collection, Rolling Thunder's eclectic road show was chronicled only in the infrequently screened, Dylan-directed Renaldo & Clara film and the bafflingly brief and one-note 1976 live set, Hard Rain. Exclusively for Prime members.
Yes here comes the story of the Hurricane The man the authorities came to blame For something that he never done Put in a prison cell but one time he could-a been The champion of the world. To see him obviously framed Couldn't help but make me feel ashamed to live in a land Where justice is a game.

Joe from Dublinto the guy who said "most people i know dont know who dylan is". no offence, but, do most of the people you know live in secluded dark caves on clifftops with their fingers in their ears? Dylan from Mildura, AustraliaMy dad like Madalyn dad loves Bob Dylan (Who im named after, expect the Bob bit) and he's passed his love of Bob Dylan to me, i think like all of Bob Dylans songs there is a rare mix of musical genius and feeling which makes all of his songs, espacally Hurricane a wonder!!
