Tin Machine is the debut album by Anglo-American hard rock band Tin Machine. It was originally released in May 1989, on the label EMI. The band was the latest venture of David Bowie, inspired by sessions with guitarist Reeves Gabrels. Drummer Hunt Sales and bassist Tony Fox Sales formed the rest of the band, with "fifth member" Kevin Armstrong providing rhythm guitar and Hammond organ.

Tin Machine was a hard rock band formed in 1988, famous for being fronted by singer David Bowie. The group recorded two studio albums and a live album before dissolving in 1992, when Bowie returned to his solo career.

Tin Machine re-converged and recorded their second album - Tin Machine II. The album was much lighter than their previous attempt, but did not fare any better critically. Its release was postponed due to a dispute about its artwork which depicted male genitals. Shortly after the release of the live album Oy Vey Baby, Tin Machine broke up. In 1992, Bowie played a supporting role in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, a big screen prequel to the popular Twin Peaks TV series. He performed at the late Freddie Mercurys tribute concert, and was remembered as one of the stand-out acts of the night.

Tin machine Tin machine. Take me anywhere Somewhere without alcohol Or goons with muddy hair. Tin machine Tin machine. The zombies that I pass The guy that beats his baby up The preachers and their past. Clarity and power There's more than money moving here There's mindless maggot glare Working horrors-humping Tories Spittle on their chins Carving up my children's future Read 'em pal and grin
